Terms of Service

1. Service

Encor provides AI recommendations to help users decide what to do with objects they no longer need (keep, repair, sell, donate, exchange, recycle) and a marketplace to act on those decisions.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 13 (or the digital consent age in your jurisdiction).

3. AI recommendations are estimates

All AI outputs (object identification, condition, second-life score, prices, repair diagnosis, environmental impact) are estimates and require verification. Encor is not liable for decisions taken solely on the basis of AI suggestions. For hazardous repairs, always contact a qualified professional.

4. Marketplace transactions

Buyers and sellers contract directly with each other. Encor facilitates listings, payments (via Stripe) and delivery information but is not party to the sale. A platform commission (default 5%) applies to completed sales.

Sellers must accurately describe items. Buyers acknowledge that goods are typically used and sold "as-is". Refund and dispute processes are handled through Stripe's protection tools and, where applicable, local consumer law.

5. Repair partnerships

Repair partners listed as "PAID PARTNER" may pay Encor a referral fee. This never influences AI recommendations, which are based on user benefit only.

6. Community & safety

You agree to interact respectfully. Never share private home addresses publicly. Report or block users who make you uncomfortable. Meet in public places for in-person exchanges. Illegal, dangerous or counterfeit items are strictly forbidden.

7. Intellectual property

You retain rights to your photos and content. By posting to the community or marketplace, you grant Encor a worldwide, non-exclusive license to display and distribute that content within the service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Encor is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service or reliance on AI outputs.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend accounts violating these Terms.
