1. Who we are
Encor ("we", "us") is an AI-powered circular economy assistant. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights.
2. Data we collect
- Account: email, display name, hashed password.
- Objects: photos you upload, AI analysis results, item history and decisions.
- Location (optional): browser geolocation to sort nearby repairers. Never stored server-side unless you opt-in.
- Payments: transaction records (amount, item, buyer/seller). Card details are handled exclusively by Stripe.
- Community: messages you send, listings you publish, ratings.
- Technical: minimal server logs for security and abuse prevention.
3. How we use your data
- Provide AI object analysis via Gemini (Google) with strict prompts. Photos are sent to the model transiently.
- Match you with repair partners, donation points and marketplace buyers.
- Process payments through Stripe.
- Send transactional notifications (payment confirmation, repair suggestion).
- Improve the service with aggregated, non-personal metrics.
4. Third parties
We share the minimum data required with: Google (AI), Stripe (payments), Emergent Object Storage (images), OpenStreetMap (map tiles). We never sell your personal data.
5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You can at any time: access your data, export it, correct it, or delete your account. Contact privacy@encor.app. We respond within 30 days.
6. Retention
Objects and passports remain until you delete them or delete your account. Payment records are retained 10 years for accounting/legal reasons. Location data is never persisted server-side by default.
7. Children
Encor is not intended for children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
